Selective licensing · active · Listed wards

- Listed wards
- Runs
- 1 Jul 2024 to 1 Jul 2029
- Term
- 5 years
- Fee per property
- £640
Lewisham selective licensing applies in 16 named pre-May 2022 wards from 1 July 2024 to 1 July 2029.
The scheme covers 16 named wards. Two streets on either side of a ward boundary can end up with different answers, so checking the ward of the property matters more than the postcode.
Paid in two parts: £160 on application and £480 on grant, before any discounts.
Properties exempt from this scheme
- HMOs that require mandatory HMO licensing are excluded from selective licensing.
- HMOs that require Lewisham additional HMO licensing are excluded from selective licensing.
- Registered social landlord tenancies are excluded from selective licensing.
- Properties subject to an Interim or Final Management Order are excluded from selective licensing.
- Properties subject to a temporary exemption under section 86 of the Housing Act 2004 are excluded while the notice applies.
- Tenancies and occupations exempt under the Housing Act 2004 or the Selective Licensing of Houses (Specified Exemptions) (England) Order 2006 are excluded.
